OVERVIEW

A corrupt tech corporation has deployed energy pods across the city, disrupting communication networks and halting emergency services. These pods emit a signal that infects all web communications, isolating the city in chaos. The corporation claims the pods are part of a technological upgrade, but Spider-Man uncovers their true purpose: to control the city and pave the way for a hostile takeover. With time running out and innocent lives at stake, Spider-Man must infiltrate the corp’s facility and destroy the energy pods before the city falls completely under their control.

Pre-Production

For this project, I began with a high-level vision, focusing on the core gameplay experience I wanted to create, the setting that would immerse players. Starting with these foundational elements allowed me to establish a cohesive design direction early on.

Next, I broke down the mission into detailed beats, refining them to ensure a smooth and engaging progression. With the narrative and gameplay structure in place, I gathered reference images to inspire the visual style and design elements. This step helped bridge the gap between concept and execution.

From there, I sketched a rough top-down layout of the primary point of interest (POI), iterating on it as the design evolved. The image shown here represents a polished version of the layout, finalized after testing and refinement during the blockout phase.
